The last time we saw The Lock it was a similar story to the first, close - but no cigar. Lock of the Week Voodoo Lad was good but ultimately outclassed, beaten 3L in to 2nd. Our Look of the Week Junoob got back in the field on a day where you needed to be on speed and near the rails and could only manage a 6th. Lay of the Week Azkadellia ran 2nd, however, meaning our man has managed to get two favourites beaten from two attempts.
He's had his week off and ensures me he's ready to peak 3rd up, so lets see how our man goes with the pressure on!
Lock of the Week - Best Bet
Eagle Farm Race 4 - Tsaritsa - $2.80
"My best best of the weekend is Tsaritsa from the Chris Waller stable. She is 2/2 from this preparation, the latest of which was a huge win after settling back in a slowly run race and showing a simply amazing turn of foot over the last 150m. With almost guaranteed speed in this race I think she will be powering home of the top of them for the Magic Man, Joao Moreira."
Look of the Week - Best Each Way Bet
Eagle Farm Race 8 - Eagle Way - $5.50/$2.05
"My best each way bet this week is Eagle Way in the Queensland Derby. He's had a perfect preparation leading in this race, which you would think has been his target from the get-go. He, unlike a few others, has been crying out for this trip and with Tommy Berry to ride there is plenty to like about his chances. At the each way odds I think it's a safe bet."
Leave Of the Week - Let's Get One Beaten!
Morphettville Parks Race 7 - Super Fun - $3.20
"My lay of the day is the Hayes & Dabernig trained Super Fun at Morphettville. He has been racing very well lately but had every possible chance when victorious in this grade last start at the same track/trip. He's up in the weights (59kg) today against some nice up and coming horses, such as the likes of Mr Liberty and Living Large, who get a handy 3kg off him. At the $3.20 I'm willing to take him on."
